Event Information

Ryedale Show is one of the largest competitive displays of livestock and rural crafts in Yorkshire, held in the beautiful grounds of Duncombe Park. It is a great family day out, with over 200 craft, trade and local food stalls, free children's activities, entertainment, vintage tractors, brass band and animals galore!  

What's on:

Main Ring Special for 2025: The Pony Club Mounted games! 

Competitive animal classes for sheep, cows, pigs, goats, horses, small animals and dogs, with a fascinating range of breeds on show.

Horse competitions, including Heavy Horses, show jumping, ridden fancy dress, and qualifiers for the prestigious London International Horse Show and Burghley Young Event Horse.

Competitions for produce, arts, crafts and photography, showcasing traditional skills and local talent.

Free children's art and craft competitions (enter in advance), races, activites and treasure hunt (enter on the day) with prizes.

Fun Dog show (enter on the day), Gun Dog displays and Sheepdog Trials to watch and enjoy.

NEW Ryedale Show and National Centre for Birds of Prey discounted combined ticket

The National Centre for Birds of Prey is right next door to the Ryedale Show at Duncombe Park. Get great discounts on both attractions by purchasing a Combined Ticket. Visit both on the 29th July, or if you don't want to miss any of the Ryedale Show, use your ticket to visit the NCPB on any date, from the day you purchase your ticket until 2nd November 2025. For more information on the Bird of Prey centre visit the NCPB website. Early Bird discount until Friday 11th July.

Useful Information

Visitor Parking - Free parking is available adjacent to the Showground all day.

Dogs - Dogs are permitted on the Showground but must be kept on leads at all times.

Postcode for SATNAVS - The Duncombe Park postcode is YO62 5EB. However, we advise following the event signs to ensure correct routes are taken.

Terms and Conditions

The Ryedale Show is a traditional one day Agricultural Show organised by the Ryedale Agricultural Society, showcasing farm animals, machinery and rural crafts. The objects of the Society are to educate the public in matters of agriculture by promotion and exhibition for the benefit of those involved and for the purpose of raising farming standards in the District of Ryedale and other Districts of North Yorkshire. The Society will not conduct the Show for profit and any surplus monies accruing will be carried forward to improve and increase the scope and layout of the following and subsequent Shows which will be carried out in line with these objectives.

The safety of persons on the Showground is of major concern to the Society. Precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present have been taken. As the Show is held on an agricultural field, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. All persons must obey the instructions of the Society’s stewards, officials and staff and comply with any published safety instructions.

Ryedale Show and its Committee will not be responsible for any loss, damage or expenses incurred to any person, exhibit or property during the Show from whatever cause. The society will not be responsible for any damage or vandalism sustained to vehicles whilst travelling to or parked at the show.

Dogs - All dogs must be kept on leads and be under proper control at all times.

Weather - The Show will go ahead regardless of the weather, unless conditions are deemed unsafe by the organisers. This is an outdoor event and visitors are responsible for ensuring they are prepared for the weather conditions, with suitable clothing, footwear, sunscreen, waterproofs, etc.

Tickets & Refunds – Refunds will only be given in the event that the show is cancelled. Ryedale Agricultural Society will not be held responsible for any inconvenience, losses of any kind or expenses incurred by the customer as a result of an event being cancelled, rescheduled or moved to a different venue.

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. Each ticket admits one person. Tickets must either be printed or downloaded to a smartphone device prior to the show, as connectivity to the internet cannot be guaranteed on site. No paper tickets will be issued. Failure to present a unique barcoded ticket will result in entry to the Show being denied unless a ticket is purchased.

Photography & Filming - By attending the Show you acknowledge that photography and filming takes place on the show ground and accept that you and your children may appear in these.
